This guy is really infuriating . I'd like to show him what bicyclist terrorism could really be. *finds his address*

well, even if some of us are guilty of the most of the sins... :P
i'd like stats on how many peds are actually injured by bikes per year. and compare it to the number of people injured or killed by cars. furthermore, in a collision between a pedestrian and a cyclist (and i'll bet if the cyclist is on the sidewalk, they aren't moving very fast), the cyclist usually comes off worse. so consider that they have more incentive to avoid a collision.
do pedestrians just not want to share the sidewalks?? well, that's very reasonable, as long as you provide bike lanes that don't have cars swerving or opening doors heedlessly into them, or double parked vehicles and chatting pedestrians occupying them. and let's not even get into the pedestrians who walk in the middle of hte road, walk in the bikelane, cross against the light, walk obliviously in front of cars...
what's all this about the innocent helpless pedestrian? sure, in some places (the main squares around cambridge), people do acutally walk places. but a good percentage of pedestrians are those who are walking to and from their cars. and so, no, not innocent of pollution, not innocent of the political consequences of oil-dependency.
as for children suddenly appearing under bicycle wheels? ah, the wonders of natural selection.... :)
